This is because Carina Schmidt and Peter Ottillinger, who established the young startup in 2021, rely on 100% natural and organic ingredients for both their handmade ice cream creations and their choice of packaging material. 

That is why the small folding box that the ice cream bars or bites are stored in and that Black Forest-based packaging specialist Karl Knauer makes for the Ingolstadt-based ice cream manufacturer is made of plastic-free barrier cardboard. It has a natural, rough feel and is still suitable and approved for contact with food thanks to a special coating.
