Karl Knauer is nominated for the Pro Carton Award in the ‘Public Voting’ category

We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated for the prestigious Pro Carton Award in collaboration with ZWILLING. This highly prestigious award honours exceptional achievement in cardboard packaging and we are proud to be able to present our brand-new plastic-free packaging solution for the entire range of ZWILLING sharpening steels.

The sustainable packaging comprises two parts that are manufactured entirely from FSC®-certified virgin fibre cardboard and can therefore be disposed of completely in the paper recycling bin. By eliminating plastic in this packaging, ZWILLING saves around 2.5 tonnes of plastic each year.

The sharpening steel is held securely in place by means of an inlay, also made of cardboard, while the packaging features a cut-out window for maximum product exposure.

The packaging is not only impressive for its functionality, but also for its overall aesthetics. Its slender shape and the possibility of feeling the product through the patched window offer an ideal way of presentation.
