Karl Knauer celebrates 19 plus 1 anniversaries
“Every day we witness how important it is to be able to count on reliable, well-trained and committed employees,” said Ina Hofferberg, Chairwoman of the Works Council at Karl Knauer, at this year’s anniversary celebration, which took place on 17 November at the Hotel Badischer Hof in Prinzbach, and she went on to praise the company philosophy. Even before the shortage of skilled workers became an issue for companies across Germany, Karl Knauer had always been committed to the interests of its employees and, for instance, provides support in the form of a company daycare centre and a company health management scheme.
“The fact that we are once again celebrating 19 anniversaries this year, totalling 590 years of service, makes us feel extremely proud because it shows that we are far more than just an employer for many people. Some of them, especially the ones who celebrated their 45th, 40th, 35th and 30th anniversaries at the company this year, have been involved with our business for more than half their lives and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts,” said Stefanie Wieckenberg, Managing Partner and granddaughter of company founder Karl Knauer.
A platinum deer was awarded twice this year in recognition of 45 years of service to the company. The six colleagues who have been part of the Karl Knauer family for 35 years were honoured with a gold deer each, while six silver deer were awarded to those who started working at the packaging company 25 years ago.
After so many years of working together, people get to know each other – this was also evident in the friendly words and entertaining anecdotes Stefanie Wieckenberg used to honour the employees individually. The Managing Director of the family-run business was joined by her son Niklas in presenting the honours, certificates and gifts.
