Karl Knauer welcomes eight new talents
Training made relevant
The chosen career paths of the new apprentices and students include: a dual study degree in business administration, a dual study degree in mechanical engineering, an industrial management assistant apprenticeship, two mechatronics technician apprenticeships, two packaging technologist apprenticeships and an apprenticeship in warehouse logistics. This varied mix reflects the diversity of training opportunities at Karl Knauer, from commercial and technical to production-related areas.
Practical induction and getting to know the company
The first week is packed with variety. The new apprentices and students get to know the different areas of the company, gain practical insights into production and administrative processes, and can get stuck in straight away. There is also a workshop entitled “Financial tips for career starters”, which provides helpful advice on financial planning, welfare benefits and insurance. The workshop is a shared initiative with new apprentices from the company Hydro in Biberach.
A getting-to-know-you afternoon on the first day has been one of the particular highlights so far. The new recruits had the opportunity to meet apprentices already working at the company, experience company culture first-hand and make initial connections to create a strong sense of team feeling. This team building day was the perfect way to kick off a successful start to their training.
Training with prospects
“Our training opportunities offer young people the chance to get stuck in and play an active role right from the start. We offer them individual, practical support so that they can develop their talents to the best of their ability,” affirms Kilian Vollmer, Head of Training at Karl Knauer. Lots of former apprentices and dual study degree students now hold key positions, confirming that training at Karl Knauer offers long-term prospects.
The new talents are part of Karl Knauer's ongoing tradition of helping young people enter the world of work – in a practical, versatile and impressively different way.
