Packaging that brings stories to life

True beauty comes from within, but of course you can and should give it a little help. That's also the opinion of the people behind the K-beauty brand ‘Yepoda’, which is why they have been offering high-quality beauty products made in Korea on the European market since 2020. All products are sustainably produced, vegan, cruelty-free and B Corp^TM certified. This means that they meet high social and environmental standards. And, of course, this claim also applies to the packaging, which Yepoda develops in collaboration with Black Forest packaging specialist Karl Knauer.

The partnership between Yepoda and the packaging experts began in 2023 with a refined sliding packaging with inlay for a high-quality care set. Since then, creative, high-quality and sustainable packaging solutions have been regularly developed in close cooperation, including various e-commerce boxes, gift and birthday packaging, and special editions for retail partners such as Sephora. As a full-service partner, the internationally renowned packaging company from the Black Forest supports Yepoda from the initial idea through design, production and finishing to co-packing and shipping.

Door opener for the „Korean Winter Palace“
The product images alone reveal how sophisticated the design of the ‘Korean Winter Palace’ was, which Karl Knauer developed for the cosmetics company: the advent calendar is shaped like a Korean house and opens up in the middle. It perfectly symbolises the Korean brand world of Yepoda. Inside the ‘building’, 24 lovingly designed folding boxes await to reveal their beauty secrets to those who were able to get their hands on one of the coveted and quickly sold-out calendars.

Every element of the ‘Korean Winter Palace’ was precisely planned and coordinated: custom-fit interior structures that securely hold each of the 24 folding boxes in place, precise die-cutting for the symmetrical folding mechanism and high-quality finishing effects that bring the house to life visually. The fact that even delicate hot foil stamping along the edges of the house and millimetre-precise transitions could be implemented in series production shows how closely development, printing and finishing are interlinked at Karl Knauer.
