Karl Knauer welcomes the new trainees
Broad range of training possibilities at Karl Knauer KG
An exciting range of professions
The new trainees will start the training year 2020 with a wide variety of industry-specific professions, such as warehouse logistics specialist, industrial business management assistant, machine and plant operator, electronics technician, industrial mechanic, and media technology technician for print. “We are delighted that we are able to offer many more high-quality, future-oriented traineeships”, says Markus Dilger, Head of Human Resources at Karl Knauer, commenting on the training possibilities at the company. Following completion of their training or studies, all trainees are usually offered permanent employment.
Excellent quality of education and training
Karl Knauer offers strong growth prospects in an expanding market with almost 400 employees in Biberach and 410 employees in Poland. The family business has received several awards for the high quality of its training. Even prior to the actual trainee intake, applicants are already given advance information as part of the training programme. This way, school leavers interested in the packaging industry are able to get an idea of the different job profiles offered as part of internships, summer jobs or taster days.
Anybody, who has received a training place, is currently being trained for the job during the “Karl Knauer Induction Weeks”. “This year the number of these is reduced due to Corona, but the subjects were particularly relevant and included safety instructions, lectures from the Employer's Liability Insurance Association, training for IT systems and time management, presentation of the company's own training representatives and works council, and a presentation of the company's strategy”, explains Markus Dilger. Contact with trainees is very important to a family-run business like Karl Knauer. Every July – before courses begin – the company invites all new trainees and their families to the premises to get an idea of their future role. To everyone's regret, the traditional get-to-know-each-other event, which is popular with candidates and families, could not take place this year.
Impress with services for trainees
The training places 2021 for the sought-after commercial and technical professions are already available at training. Those interested can benefit from a wide range of services at the packaging specialist, such as internships, taster courses as well as opportunities to learn more about the numerous professions.
