The Fräulein Luise wine is available exclusively at Käfer’s flagship store in Munich and in selected delicatessens across the Munich area. High-end gift packaging has been developed to show off this premium product to its best advantage. The challenge: to create packaging that lives up to the highest expectations in terms of appearance and feel and clearly stands out from conventional packaging at the point of sale.
Perfection down to the smallest detail
The packaging impresses with an exclusive, dark look with elegant matt-gloss effects, achieved by combining glossy primer with a matt UV varnish. A further highlight is the silver foil cardboard, which required maximum precision for the exact embossing of logos and lettering. Precision punching was a particularly challenging task, which Karl Knauer mastered with its many years of expertise and innovative technology.
Precise colour design – a challenge for the in-house colour lab
Particular attention was paid to exact colour reproduction. The colour tone of the packaging was mixed in Karl Knauer’s own colour lab to ensure maximum consistency with the Geldermann sparkling wine label. This required the highest level of precision and expertise, both in terms of mixing and machine application.
Fräulein Luise – a sparkling wine for special occasions
Geldermann’s Fräulein Luise is a fine sparkling cuvée with harmonious flavours of ripe pear and juicy apricot. This elegant wine is traditionally aged in the bottle and refined in the historic cellars of Sektkellerei Geldermann using traditional bottle fermentation. Its fine, long-lasting perlage and harmonious structure make it perfect for festive occasions and as a stylish aperitif. The gift packaging from Karl Knauer accentuates the high quality of this special sparkling wine and creates a pleasing overall impression.

With this project, Karl Knauer has once again demonstrated its expertise in the creation of refined custom gift packaging for the premium goods and food retail sectors. A combination of high-quality materials, including a premium GC1 material, and innovative finishing techniques such as silver foil lamination, partial varnishing, embossing, punching and gluing creates packaging that is characterised by its exceptional look and feel.
