Karl Knauer Poland introduces the Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106
// Karl Knauer Poland commissions new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106
// 30 percent increase in capacity
// Innovative “Heidelberg Subscription” business model
Some good news during the corona pandemic: Packaging specialist Karl Knauer has pushed ahead with its international expansion strategy by commissioning a new, state-of-the-art printing press at its Polish site in Pniewy. “The high-performance Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106, with coating system and UV technology, allows us to increase our production capacity by 30 percent! It's another significant step for our company and a clear indication of our successful site’s strong future-oriented approach,” emphasises Karolina Matysiak, Managing Director at Karl Knauer Poland. The new machine was delivered at the end of March 2020 and officially put into operation at the beginning of June.
Innovative production. And expansion.
The future-oriented investment in this cutting-edge machinery was significantly accelerated by partnering with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and opting for its innovative subscription model. “We came across the Heidelberg Subscription option while searching for new production possibilities and attractive solutions for increasing productivity,” says Karolina Matysiak. “The solution from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG offers a combination of maximum productivity, flexibility and low capital investment. It also gives us the freedom to focus even more intensively on our customers and the completion of their orders.” With this subscription model, Heidelberg is tapping into the growing trend for pay-per-use solutions in the mechanical engineering sector in order to make itself less dependent on sales of printing presses alone. With this model, the customer only pays for a productive industrial service i.e. for the number of sheets printed.
“An investment to the benefit of our customers.”
